I'm trying to sell some things on e-bay and want to know if there's any good alternatives to PayPal? The last few times I've sold on e-bay PayPal has held my money for weeks even though I have 100% positive feedback and the items were delivery confirmed. They each say it's the others policy. PayPal told me it was up to e-bay who's money is put on hold. E-bay says it's up to PayPal. For selling a big item they both charge too much. All the other companies I found are ether out of business, not available in the US, or charge even more then PayPal. Anyone know good alternatives? |

Moneybookers? i've seen this as alternative likewise. i know plenty of people that use money orders as an alternative on ebay. and most sellers are fine with it. i dont understand it much so i dont even try it. |

That's weird. I never had that problem with Paypal, but then when I started using ebay I was a buyer way before I ever sold, so I had my address confirmed long before I earned anything - is that anything to do with it? I agree with the others - moneybookers is a good alternative. |

No that's not really my problem with them. Like I said I've got 100% positive feedback and I sell ever once in a while. But now they'll hold the money even after the buyer has received the item and left positive feedback. It's really ridiculous. I've heard that E-bay owns PayPal now so last year they made a rule that everyone has to use electronic payments only now. Last week on Monday I thought I was paying with a credit card. Only after I hit conform it told me it would take until Thursday to process the money to the seller. It was not using the card like a credit card but a bank account. I needed what I ordered by then so I called them up to cancel the order they told me only the seller could cancel. Called up the seller he cancel no problem. But of course PayPal can't simple just cancel the charge. They kept that money charged from the card which was charged insistently (even though had I not canceled they won't of gave the money to the seller until Thursday). Instead the put the money in my PayPal account the next day. At this point I already re-bought the item Monday because I needed it fast. So Tuesday I had to transfer the money back to my account. It told me it would take 3-4 business days. Last Thursday it says the transaction is complete. It took until yesterday to put the money back into the account. So it took 10 days or 7 business days not counting the Memorial day weekend to refund my money. That's B.S. I'm so sick of PayPal. There's no reason if the money can go out instantly why it can't go back faster. They also claim they hold seller's payments to protect the buyer. It just seems to me their holding on to everyone's money to make interest off it. |
