worst of all we didnt get that much b-sides, remixes, film music etc. between FOTL and AONO we got occasional spurts to keep us going, plus maxim and flint had their own things but it was a real drought these past few years. the thing that saved me was the fanwork from this here forum

And also I understand IMD - TDIME gap Studio problems, How To Steal A Jetfighter album idea etc. etc.
+ other artists released a lot of very good music.

all in all i am very satisfied that we are finally getting a new album and hope they will continue releasing stuff, at least in some non-lp format like ep's, film music, remixes bla bla. cause the past teaches us we wont see another album before 2020

These are Liam's issues.In every genre good music is written and if he realised that the HTSAJ era songs suck well...again his problem.
For the IMD-TDIME 6 years gap he has no excuses.The band was good and united and no company to force them.The dampness studio issue is a joke.A man with a few $ can fix this in a month or two.He just got lazy or had no inspiration.Im not a music writer but i compare the gaps with many other popular bands.

I'm excited too but for some reason i do not believe this is their last album.Even if they slpit Liam will write another album AONO-Solo style .

Liam is perfectionist, thats why we wait so long and thats why the prodigy are lords of dance music and thats why every track is a masterpiece.
If release stuff so quick like Guetta or Rihana we would get shity mediocre and always the same stuff. Thats why every the prodigy album has his own story, depth and style.

over years.. i'v left with impression he's not pushing much if he isn't in the right "zone". and he doesn't release music until he himself is completely satisfied with it, no one others opinion maters. quite normal for an artist, isn't it?

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle because i think he said on an interview that he started writing the album only 1-1,5 yrs ago.It was not a matter of perfecting anything.Also there are other examples of bands that are very good too and they release albums much more often.Dont mention Guetta lol.But like i said,he probably had no inspiration.That is why he binned so many songs he wrote after 2010.

it was almost over with The Prodigy. First they (Liam) had to get themselves together before starting to write new music.

i don't think there will be any. i truly do think Liam has given it all including TDIMY without repeating himself. i think they will do an intensively tour for the coming two years following by a re-release of FOTL with all the unreleased tracks from that era(bonus for the boys) and maybe a small tour to celebrate that. and that will be all folks!
