Omen came out week or 2 earlier than the UK release, WD a week later than the UK release...
so i dunno...
i wouldn't mind going with the bundle deal...
but recordstore has fucked it up every single time i have ordered thru them
and their shipping is a real bend over and stick it in the consumer's ass
fuck twittering Prodigy about no b-sides
twitter how fucked their shipping costs are
would be awesome to get a LIVE DVD/CD with Live track version + B-sides collection together
but i highly doubt it.

I dont understand why they keep givin us these crap remixes. I know its trying to tap into other markets or genres, but surely its The Prodigy fans that religiously buy all the singles/albums etc.
All we want are tracks that have already been created, played live and loved by us since we've heard them. Gabba is one that I've always wanted to hear in studio format but I'll probably never get a chance.
I can understand why fans get pissed off with sub standard remixes (no offence to the remixers) but I dont think its what the average fan wants to hear...and to be honest , I think most of us on here are BIG Prodigy fans to say the least.
Broken promises about B-sides dont help, unless there are plans to release 1 track on the website for free each month (fat chance) or some sort of 'un-Forgotten Beats' instead of 'Lost Beats'....maybe that will keep us happy AND quiet for a while........[controlled rant over......ok, deep breaths.....]

yeah pity about there being no b-sides but maybe Liam thought that Lost Beats was enough to keep the fans happy.
If the artists are anything to go by, these remixes should be sick. Lets just hope that they're not a tad disappointing like the C&S remix.
And speaking of Prodigy remixes, the SMBU (Sub Focus remix) was played at my end of secondary school prom a couple weeks ago! I was like "FUCK YEAH! It's not only drum and bass, but it's fucking Prodigy!" It was seriously surprising lol, no one else knew how to dance to it.

Mr. Hat wrote: The thing because Liam keeps the b-sides is that he is not giving a fuck, he is much more interested in the live things than in the studio stuff. I think. So why has he mentioned the b-sides so much then? Several times he's talked about them. He even said in a regular interview recently how he's always messing around with possible b-sides and this is after the fan interviews from people on these boards... Also I didn't think very much of the Sub Focus SMBU remix, nothing special at all if you ask me, yet it's getting all this praise. I guess I'm not such a fan of drum & bass then, but even the DJ Hype remix was better and that's not exactly saying much... freehandjunkie wrote: b sides are fair enough, take them or leave them for me, what we should be talking about is arguably the strongest track on the album is gonna hit the airwaves and charts,,, cant wait for the reaction to it..thats what is important not some fucking b side shit.. we are getting so much from the guys in terms of videos, they are playing pretty much everywhere this year, we have got a fucking amazing album yet people still fucking moan about the great mescaline and stab...fucks sake they werent good enough for the album..who cares
You made some good points until you said Mescaline and Stab weren't good enough for the album like that's some sort of excuse. For starters Mescaline is a very strong track, it's probably more that it didn't fit the albums style than it wasn't good enough. I think it's easily one of the best IMD era tracks and a lot of other people think so too. As for Stab, how can you make an informed opinion unless you were in the audience at the one show it was played at? A one minute recording isn't enough to judge...
Where the quality argument really falls down is when you look at the fact tracks such as Fighter Beat were good enough to be released, yet Mescaline wasn't. Not many people think Fighter Beat is better so that really fucks that quality argument right there. Not only that, but even if as you say they weren't good enough for the album, isn't that what B-sides are for? To release the tracks that weren't good enough for the album on the back of singles? To put them out for the fans to hear? Come on though, it isn't a quality issue...

freehandjunkie wrote: we are getting so much from the guys in terms of videos, they are playing pretty much everywhere this year Well, they play a lot of places... so what? they always play a lot of places. They fucked that up too. In the old days, whole shows was broadcasted by fuckin tv-channels, now we can have the same 4-5 tracks from some gigs. Not as if I'm not happy to have them, but let's consider that The Prodigy seems like that they did a LOT OF THINGS until they got very very famous. They became too much famous they don't give a shit anymore. Too true!
Also, it seems as if they would wanna commercial other no-name artists by these stupid singles. but commercial it to who? to us? I dont need commercial, i can get enough if i want by switching the television on. i want prodigy.
By the way, mostly I said come on not to moan, be happy with what you get. But this is the time i get fed up. You can tell me that come on maybe the remixes will be great, but... so what? The point is that u get ONE track in different versions. how great.

With Liam you get what you're given. He doesn't really do requests. He even said "you know me and my promises" so he knows he almost always breaks the promises he makes in interviews.
As for sales of singles, I doubt CD and Vinyl make up 10% of a single's total sales any more. The majority of people who buy singles just buy the title track as a digital mp3. Non-fans won't care about B-sides.
Looking on the bright side of this single, at least we are getting a Liam Howlett remix of 'Take Me To The Hospital'.

you'll most likely get the version they played at glastonbury, hardly a remix.

I dunno, I see it has a blatant pandering to tap into the nu-rave market which a lot of the newer fanbase is coming from since Omen came out. It's very similar in style to bands in that genre.
