I have no clue what Polydor Records did, but the Run DMC vs Jason Nevins track sounds ghastly on this soundtrack. Like horrible digital distortion and as if it was remastered from a 128kbps MP3 or something. I thought maybe it was just my copy from Qobuz, but the iTunes preview sounded exactly the same. So I searched "Run DMC vs Jason Nevins" on iTunes and it brought up a few different releases with the song on it including the T2 soundtrack. I began to A/B them and the difference was as clear as day. I dunno what the dude that mastered this release did to that one track, but it's unbearable to listen on headphones. I wrote on Polydor's different social media accounts, hoping for a response. Let's see if others come forward cuz this is definitely something wrong that came from the source, Polydor. |

I love it, great rework - pumpin, dark prodigy feel, without changing the core of the original track. I didnt expect radical remix, because original is integral part of the first movie, and sequel has a lot of referencing to 1. Trainspotting. I guess director just wanted to refresh original track, and in my opinion Liam have done great job. Play it loud
