Some users will moan about whatever Liam releases, even though they sounds like a collection of high pitched farts with some random comments. It's so childish.

Everytime The Prodigy release a new track, the same bunch of people will say how awful and dreadful and boring this tune is going to be, even though they've been repeating the same comments since 2005ish...In 6 minutes time then the forum realises how average the comment actually was and in 2 hours we will all have forgotten who it was (except for Nightmare! lol).

Try an experiment; leak an Eros Ramazzotti song with some "dirty beatzzzz" and some guitars here and there, plus the, by now, usual wall of sound synth and sell it as David Guetta...the same ones will classify as an instant classic, a bangerzzzzzzz which will shake ya neighbourzzzzzzz house bro.

FUCK.

Actually, they've been complaining since 1994. ;)

Yes I wanted to preserve the source material as much as possible. I see it as an hommage to the original author and his work.

Everytime The Prodigy release a new track the same bunch of people will say how wicked and bangin' and world-changing this tune is going to be, even though Liam Howlett had been repeating the same formula since 2005ish...In 6 months time then the forum realises how average the track actually was and in 2 years we will all be disowning this "banger" (remember Nasty Nasty? lol).

Even though you're not being so nice about it, I think you're somewhat right about me.

Most of the stuff that comes out of The Prodigy does sound better to me than other artists, and you can confuse me with releases from other people if you just let me listen and claim that it's Liams work. Also, there's probably truth to what you said about just liking tracks because Liam created them (again - I'm just talking about myself). I'm biased.

You're absolutely right about things sounding different after 6 months or two years. I think that it doesn't matter how many times you listen to the same track - if it's bound to "get old" eventually, it will only happen with time (not with number of listens)

Specifically (as you mentioned Nasty), I wasn't that happy when Nasty came out, but now I like it. On the other hand other tracks, which I liked from the start - I like less today.

What can I say? I'm human :)

Today I like Need Some1. I have no idea whether I'll like it tomorrow.

Liam hasn't used proper breakbeats since Fat of the Land, which was a big part of The Prodigy sound, and is highly missed. Now a days he re-uses the same d&b beats like everyone else. Or the Nasty/Omen beats....

There is only a very few tracks since AONO i am listening to, Girls, The Way It Is (live remix), Thunder, Destroy, TMTTH, Run, Medusas Path and a fan live rework of WOF and that is about it. A lot if his new sounding tunes are too aggressive and noisy for me. Sometimes I can't hardly believe it is the same man behind Jilted, Fat of the Land & Experience.

From the comments on Need Some1 release page on Discogs.
I’m definitely not sure if this person is who he says he is but Michael Townsend works as Operations Manager at BMG.
This means that the official release could be on the 19th :)

Thanks to Nikita on Facebook for the find.

Probably not as good as trolling strangers on the Internet for 15 years because you're not capable of letting go.
Having an opinion is great, trying to impose it on others for the sake of being right is bad.

Well said fellow human. That's true wisdom right there.

Who's the fool? The person who spends their time on something they enjoy or the person who spends their time on something they hate?

Leave us "sheep" to enjoy and you go and spend your time on something you enjoy. We'll all be better off.

I just hope the new tunes have bit more content to them than the last album.
A bit more melody, or memorable production/samples.

I really like TDIME. The worst thing that could happen is the new album sounding exactly like the last. I hope it won't.

1. I don't hate The Prodigy. I love The Prodigy. But I have my opinion, can I have mine? Can't I criticize some aspects of their musical progression? Yes/No?
I've been a fan since 1994, don't tell me who I am.

2. Are you going to block me for having a different opinion? For thinking that SOME (not all) of their last releases were mediocre?
Do we want to have a forum in which some long-time users with thousands of posts compete with each other to see who the greatest and most loyal fan is?
