I’m actually loving the dancehall vibes. This one is great.

Respect for what it is, but this kind of music doesn't do anything for me.

I have to be honest about it: this is not my kind of music, whether concerning Feel Good, or Rudeboy, but anyway there's something in it that I like. I think that this time Maxim let himself free and allowed his own soul, essence and music to emerge.
I honestly like both tracks.

That's not The Prodigy. That's Maxim and I really appreciate it.

Maxim's music has never been special for me at all, I remember buying My Wep EP in 1999 and I was utterly disappointed with it ( I was expecting a Prodigy thing indeed). Then, Hell's Kitchen had some good tunes on it, Carmen Queasy and Killing Culture were good but the album had too many fillers.

Then in 2005 I saw that I Don't Care video...I decided to ignore his music, it was really awful (I know this type of opinion will not be popular in this sort of forum).

This track is just...MEH.

Yeap, I agree, unfortunately. There are only 2 tracks from Maxim that I enjoy and that I play frequently (mostly in my car, while traveling), Dog Day and Dominant Genes (I actually really like this one). Carmen Queasy is also fine, but not my thing. The others...poor.

So I've heard Maxim's interview the other day as scheduled for a Japanese radioshow.

He said how his brother played a role & influenced him (without even knowing that) starting experimenting musically and that his new album uses the word 'Love' that most people tend not to use anymore.
His next albums are gonna be different again in regards with the style, but this one paid also homage to his roots.
Liam's in the studio for new prodigy tracks and the vibe between them is good as he said

I like "Love More" much more then last three Prodigy records.
Max is my fav from the four, he had alot of experimentations in music, but it always has his personality. Every time it's really different and interesting. He's not afraid of taking risks and trying new things, that's real nuts.
For me, "Hell's kitchen" is on the same level as "TFOTL", for example :)
So, this record made me excited about prodigy-related music for first time since 2005 8-)

I have to respect your opinion even if it is absolutely opposite to mine.

Seems like you're done maybe for a long time with The Prodigy music and it's vibes and you have looked for a lot mellower sounds and vibes in your life. Maybe this is an age or aging thing, I don't know because I don't know you personally. I was not born yesterday so I am not even a millennial (not by far) so maybe I have stayed young inside enough so that the new Prodigy still affects me a great deal.

All I can say to you that I have noticed Liam has succeeded time and time again to re-invent his music but at the same time managed to keep his work recognizable. That is rare combination in these god forsaken EDM days when every other electronic producer sound the same because they don't have a unique own voice or touch in their work or they don't have strong musical roots to begin with.

To me Maxim TRIES with this new album to be unique but not succeeding in it.
I really like his Hell's kitchen album even today because in it he is ambitious without TRYING so hard to be different. He should have stayed on that path..

I don't think that he TRIES to be unique.. As he said in last interview, he just was in reggae theme, and wanted to make a reggae album, but then it developed into something more then just a reggae record, with some hip-hop, dancehall and other influences. I think he just makes what he's into just in the moment. And not TRIES to make a record pleased by fans of The Prodigy or whatever (really really don't cares) :D

In my opinion, after leaving XL, prodigy music lost a lot in quality of production and songwriting for me. It's becoming even more simple and lazy compositionally with each record. I still kinda like it, and still listen it, have favorites each album, but I really miss Neil and XL rec. The Prodigy should sound bigger and more sophisticated :-D

After all this, every Max solo release sounds well-crafted, quality mixed. Yeah, it's not experimental or whatever, but in each genre he choose, you can still recognize his own tricks :)
That's kinda cool for me.
