No idea what else is released this week but I guess 'big' releases avoid each other. I assume the album charts are still decided purely on physical sales and not streams? If that's the case I expect it to go Number 1 in the UK album charts for one week then drop down. Sales taken by fans pre-ordering are probably enough to get enough sales for number 1. I assume physical album sales are comparatively very low these days compared to even 5 years ago. 'The kids' don't buy CDs.

I think streams are only for singles.

I thought Muse is releasing the following week? If not then I fear Muse will win that battle.

I know there's the argument that 'charts don't matter' but for me it would be a real shame if the run of 5 number 1 albums (6 counting the best-of) were to come to an end.

OK I've just checked and can confirm that Muse is not out until the 9th, in which csae I think number 1 should be in the bag.

Current number 1 is the soundtrack to A Star is Born, which has been there 3 weeks, and looking at the list of other new releases I don't see any significant challengers.

I went with 5, based on similar yet slightly more optimistic reasoning.
