Liam knows they can't leave it too long though or the momentum rebuilt with IMD will be lost just like in 2000-2004 with AONO, so for 2011 im gonna take Liams word for it.

They should release a stop-gap collection of rare tracks (or a live album/DVD) soon to keep up the profile (it would still sell like crazy and probably get to number 1)

we all know that the formula for a new soon prodigy album is:

Liam Howlett date x 2 + 1 (+1 if its a raining year)

in this case 2011+2+1=2014

Nahh not true.

If you dig in the demo of tmtth you can see it's from septembe (!) 2008,
so that's not even 3 months prior to the invaders academy tour were they played the final version at some gigs.

No proof about Piranha either, the demo comes from January 2008 and sounded very unfinished in comparision with the final version we got to hear when the album leak surfaced back then.
liam did a blog a few months before september and he said he finished a track called take me to the hospital.and in january piranha and wof were neary done in demmo version and i assume colours was finished too

they better slow it down now. imd sounded not very new and fresh to me despite from its predecessors... it'll need some time to make the sound turn into something new... so hopefully no 2011

We can only wait. But I hope to see some new live track in this year. That`s the only way we can know for sure that Liam is working on something.

i think a live cd/dvd or ep of unreleased tracks in the interim would help to keep up the momentum of imd

live dvd should be best of the tour not just one event - imo

The funny thing about all your points is that they equally applied after 'TFOTL' and we all know what happened there.

We've been banging on about The Prodigy releasing an album of unreleased tracks since 'TFOTL'. Liam never seems interested. He's always more interested in writing new music than doing anything with the old stuff. I can see the 8 or so tracks left over from 'IMD' sessions never getting a release either.

I think that IMD era will end as soon as the tour ends... According to Liam, there's no need to keep the whole IMD vibe alive. I agree with him and hope that the next Prodigy album will be more complex and diverse like MFTJG, EXPERIENCE and TFOTL were.

With all due respect, after FOTL the band hit commercial success, which we all should know that brings. I'm sure they were blindsided by all of the popularity and fame, and being 'underground dance scene band' they probably were hurt by it. Luckily they went through that, and now the band seem eager to max out their abilities, which are nearing the end.

One last album would be welcome would be great.
