problem is, most indie bands have some type of 50's sci-fi artwork, honestly they do, if you want uniqueness then i'd go with something noones done before, which i can't think of but the more creative you can be the better when it comes to album covers, if u try to copy a style it wont work at all

I dont think its case of trying to be different, i think its just representing the band without referencing war/guns and shit, The crab on Fotl was perfect, he owned that beach and the colours were so far removed from the music.

Hopefully like Neorev says there will be a slip case or something over the cd and the text isnt all over the image, we shall see

Like i said i know loads who will love this direction, but just feels like it was done 10 years ago

Word, good points here lads!

Thing is in this day and age an iconic album cover is so hard to achieve. Making something different is so difficult. In the design world it just feels like everything has been done before, you can't be too radical or the genreal public just won't get it. It's a nasty trap.
