If you were like 8 years old you would. Some time ago I talked to a girlfriend about music. I said I like Prodigy. She didn't know who there were until I showed her the Firestarter video. Guess what? She said she knew the video, but she was scared of Keith when she was a kid. So yeah, that was the fuzz.

FOTL for me was an awakening for me. I had listened to Jilted ad nauseum for years and bootlegged tapes with new tracks like SMBU and Mindfields. I was itching for the album to come out and queued when it was released at midnight in Dublin at Tower Records on 30 June 1997 waiting to collect the album, free cd single and Prodigy dog tags.
The album was an atomic bomb. As soon as the beat kicks in SMBU i was lost in the aggressiveness, the head pounding rhythms and the hypnotic melodies. There is no weak track, no filler. I played that cd over and over and over again. The anticipation of the album coming out was immense. Before fan forums and message boards were available to moan about the delays of it coming out. The build up to the release was perfect, 2 singles almost 6 months apart and all the festival gigs that summer, plus the American exposure on MTV including the gig at Fashionably Loud.
There was no way the album would fail. And it didn't. I love this album and reminds me of a 16 yr old Stuie. Simpler times!

great story, i can totally feel what you mean. What i wish to add is that in my opinion this fashionably loud is the prodigy's most pathetic performance ever. i always had a feeling they only accepted the invitation because they broke in the usa and all, but whenever i watch as keith with that terrible voice of his "crackles" (that's not singing) firestarter while different girls and guys are walking up the stage... you know i just gotta laugh like fuck
