every RATM album states the following:

"no samples, keyboards or synthesizers used in the making of this record"

...might be pulling it a bit far that it means that they hate electronic music...but that's how I interpreted it ...why else specify it you know.

Clawfinger stated in their debut album: "This record is loaded with samples, loops and no guitar amps" ...hehe

They don't use samples and loops but they respect hip hop scene (watch video for Renegades of funk)
I like punk music, but i don't like ATR

haha yeah I've noticed that too.. it can be also interpreted that Morello's guitar skills are so superior, weird and crazy that some people may think that it's keyboards or any other electronic sounds

Deutschland Has Gotta Die! Haha, that was a funny track. Saw Alec Empire last year...needless to say his performance rocks but the actual music was way better with ATR.

In response to the ATR video... I like ATR, I liked their sound, I liked their attitude, but geez guys THIS VIDEO IS DIRT OLD! ATR broke up in 2000 and Carl Crack ODed and died the following year. Just judging by the talk of Keith's double mohawk shows how old this is. Why dig this video up?

As for RATM's "no samplers, no synths" thing... I viewed this less of a "we hate electronic music and it's ilk" and more of a "we don't use those things because we don't need to" attitude.

Anyone with the Spawn soundtrack, and multiples upon multiples of breaks and such compilations has Alec Empires work in it.. ATR (Atari Teenage Riot) did a collab with Slayer *pukes*.. on the Spawn soundtrack... he's quite very good honestly and a man of beats. He and Liam are worlds apart but excellent in their own way.

How can you ever compare ATR with Prodigy anyway? And why does that dude from ATM use Prodigy haircuts as a reason why they are not punk, and then link it to politics? Whoever told him prodigy wants to be punk? He lost it, and he annoys me.

alec empire is a musical genius despite his often extreme untolerant behaviour. I remember a gig of him where he threw people out by the security because they started smoking and it was one of his own shows.

I've known a few bands to toss their own fans out. It's pretty messed up.
