An update on the Fire / Jericho tape from eBay:
Came in a standard clear box in above average condition, but not worth showing that. The inlay is nearly 100% though, only the slight cracking on the folds, inside and out, and a few fingerprints on the inside 'lava' pic. The slight marks where I've laid the folds out flat disappear when folded back up again. The tape is as new, and unplayed. Won't be either, as I don't have a tape deck any more..
I'm well chuffed.

Certainly some items are hard to get hold of, I myself am still looking for a copy of Earthbound (anyone got a cheap one?), but most of my collection was either picked up off eBay or through Discogs quite cheaply. In fact most of the common CDs and 12"s were under a fiver each! (It's rare that I'll pay more than £30 for anything..)
The thing that bumps the price up for me is the postage of foreign items to the UK. For example, one 12" record is about $15 delivered from America to the UK, where I might only pay $5 for the actual item.
You just have to keep your eyes open, hope that no-one bids against you, and if you *really* want something, be prepared to pay more than you usually would. No-one said collecting was a cheap hobby!
Of course if I find a duplicate of what I've already got and I know it's cheap, I'll buy it and sell it on a few weeks later.
Here's an example of a cheap copy of Dirtchamber for just 49p (starting price):

Yes otherwise discogs wouldn't have it on the site. They don't make them up

Well, Discogs is sometimes wrong
Maybe they are refering to KOCH tape and they assume that catalogue number is XLC 30.
