ok people, i have a question, hope somebody can help me. i get promotinal copy of voodoo people but i'm not sure is it really promo or not. it has a sticker of baggars benquit which says "for promotional use only" (i've seen similar sticker on eitp promo but dont remember who was a lucky owner, probably James Jupiter) and release date. on the back it has another sticker with some short info about prodigy's releases. all rest looks like a regular voodoo people copy, it has even the same barcode (i've always though that promos dont have barcodes) and catalogue numer. and the question is: is it promo copy or not?

Technically yes it is a promo, even though it looks just like a normal release. Some promos are sent out complete with an inlay, a couple of weeks before actual release date. And as XL Recordings is part of the Beggars Banquet group, it's likely it was originally sent out to a record shop for instore play.

I've seen 'm on almost every experience and jilted-era single. They pop up on ebay regularly. I always had / have my doubts about their authenticenty because they're just stickered. And if they are the real deal, I don't like 'm much anyway. Prefer stamped ones, or even better; completely differrent from the retail version.

Does it have a barcode? no barcode normally means it is a promo

A sticker with "Promotional Use Only", "a release date" and "record label info" would indicate that it is a promo.
