I would have thought the DVD was the best quality source?

It's hard to believe this is 11 years old, I remember watching a poor quality video whilst still on dial-up. The video probably cost more than what the music made.

I think first HD video Prodigy was IMD in 2008.

Havent done much video editing for a while, but i used to use a neat program called vReveal that would upscale by using the image data from video frames before and after the current frame, like in forensic tools that reveals licence plates on cars from surveillance cameras. It was much better than conventional upscaling at the time. Maybe some software can do something similar now a days or you can find an old copy?

Ideally, I would love it if they recorded it in 4K. As insane as that video is, its pretty amazing.

In 2004, 2005 DVD was best quality (720x576). From 2008 the best quality is HD 1920x1080(blue-ray discs). Now we entering 4K = (3840 × 2160)

UHD - 3840 × 2160
4k - 4096 x 2160

If it was recorded on 35mm film, it's 4K and more out of the original film, though it has to be scanned digitally and be cleaned up, so it is possible!
