The album 'Always outnumbered, never outgunned' celebrates 20s anniversary this year , although maybe a little late, still the question about the title meaning was never disclosed as far as I know.
On wikipedia it says "The title is a play on the name of the Walter Mosley novel Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned. "
But I rather wondered if the final track "Shoot down" with lyrics like "Shoot the gun" was meant to be the title track of the album in combination with Spitfire lyrics "Fire " . (referring obviously to "never outgunned."
Thanks for replies !

I'd say the title came from what Liam was feeling at the time. Keef and Maxim were doing their own thing and the three of them were barely speaking and weren't available for the studio when Liam called them up so he felt outnumbered but not outgunned because he did the album without them anyway. Just a guess.

I always wondered these "Shoot down " lyrics what do they mean ?
"Shoot the gun" what is meant ?
(gun is it meant metaphorical for phallus ?)
"To the bang bang bang"
like "Gang bang "
Seriously please do not delete this question.
