nein, nein, nein...you could do that but sonic stage is the software you are looking for...assuming you have a sony md

recording is less preferable to transferring your, hopefully, wav/pcm files from your md to to pc

Then we can see what we can do. But if the bass is very important nothing will make it less louder.

sony sound forge is a great basic program and you can find it on the web
or like what was mentioned before upload it and some of us can see what we can do with it

ok let me clarify...i use the basic audio sound version...i am not talking the pro version which does everything...i would agree the pro is one of the best out there
