My friend made a homemade macrocamera of cheap camera and a door peephole.

He experimented on The Prodigy releases, and that's what he got (a few examples):

Download archive with all photos [89.5 mb].

The result was an interesting effect of aberrations, blurring the focus and image distortion.
No effects and photoshop filters were used.

taking macro pics is very easy, for example today i used my mobile phone (samsung omnia lite) and old 'helios-44m' camera lens, here are some examples http://img689.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=snc00020w.jpg (nothing artistic, just showing how good is close up)

1. Get a screwdriver, go to the front door
2. Remove the peephole
3. Take the tape, peephole and camera
4. Gather it all together
5. Enjoy!

great stuff. i like to use photozoom pro for making wallpapers out of anything. you can easily enlarge images up to 10 times without losing much on the quality. depends on the original image really
