ATR is one of the most overpreised bands. It's just my opinion but this music makes me wanna crash my speakers. Fuckin hell it's aweful

He basically says that he doesn't like to be compared to The Prodigy and that Prodigy isn't not punk music...that their fake and that Keith with his double mohawk looks like a clown. He also says that their music doesn't have any political energy at all.

It seems that Alec Empire is sick of ATR being compared to The Prodigy the same way that Liam Howlett was sick of being compared to 2Unlimited and other Euro Dance acts back in the mid 90s

Alec Empire is huge! Solo artist, founding member of ATR and founder of DHR record company.

If you haven't heard of him you're probably not into music.

ATR is featured on the Spawn soundtrack too. They are also credited in the last Rage Against the Machine album...they used to hate the Prodigy too...Zack de la Rocha...heard of him? Tom Morello of RATM has done a track with ATR called rage.

ATR and RATM...two very political bands...they're supposed to hate everything...hehe.

anyway - it's true that there's smth interesting in ATR's music and in his solo albums but I just think that it's not as special as people claim to be. Especially the vocals. I prefer Front 242 for example.

As for RATM not liking Prodigy I read in an article Liam saying RATM is the only band that has ever stated they want to kill the Prodigy...but a couple of years later Tom and Liam collaborated on one man army...so dont think the grudge is that deep

...ratm hate synths, samplers and drum machines though...hating that kind of equipment indirectly makes them hate every electronic act I would say...even ATR

I'm not sure about that having in mind that Tom Morello's playing guitars for so many electronic tracks (The Prodigy, The Crystal Method) and Zack working with DJ Shadow...but still maybe you know better - I haven't read so many articles to be honest.

As for ATR - dunno but the thing that makes me not to like them is maybe that I find the members and especially Alec too pretentious and sitting for something that doesn't really bothers me. Sometimes I even start laughing when I watch their videos where he's looking mean and is screaming some tagged phrases. Just my opinion.
