In between my releases polls I felt like doing a poll that takes on the question what year did you become a Prodigy fan. Please be very honest I'm interested in seeing what era's we're all from! :)

'91 for me, I got lucky by having a foreigner for a neighbor who was into them so they got me at a young age. I fell into them even more around '96 when their sound swung back into my interests.

Charly (Original Mix) was the first tune I heard in a friend's car back in late 1990, I was 18 at the time. It had been doing the rounds in the underground scene for a while, and he had a bootleg from a DJ friend of his.
As soon as the single came out I went and bought it. I'm probably one of the few on the forum that bought the CDs in chronological order.. :-D

Jeez I feel old sometimes..

my neighbor played out the alley cat mix.. as a kid it was appealing to me so i liked it... i was a good ways into my teens when fotl came out by then i reconnected with them as the jilted was just a little too mature for my tastes i guess at that young of an age.. though the first and 3rd albums are still my top 2 favs..

the first time i herd prodigy music was when firestarter was first realised but i was scared of keith flint and then when i was abit older i herd smack my bitch up and then girls in and then i watched a flash movie online called super mario vs sonic the hedgehog and marios intro was smack my bitch up and sonics was breathe and i fell in love with the tunes and decided to download them and started downloading other prodigy music during 2004

and then in 2005 my gran died in november and a week later my freind gave me a ticket and invited me to a prodigy concert at glasgow secc and i went with him with a broken wrist

the concert was amazing and it was also my first concert i remember most of the tracks especially charly with the burning with extacy sample before it came on and out of space and smack my bitch up and spitfire

during one of the tracks, can't remember which one but my mate had to go off and look for water and i met these rugby players from edinbugh and they picked me up and got me closer to the front of the stage and i eventually got put back down and met back up with them along with another mate who i never knew was going there, and i saw liam and what he was doing with the keyboards and that and i had been playing the keyboard since i was 5 and i said to myself i want to be like him one day and thats when i became addicted to the prodigy as in wanted to know every single thing about them and have all of there tracks and hear all there tracks.

and then i ended up having to get my cast replaced because it had gone soft because of the amount of beer spilled on it from people throwing beer everywere, also my freind got hut in the back of the head with a plastic container full of beer which made me laugh

i just wished there was a recording from glasgow secc that night, it would be amazing to hear it again

but ever since then i used to be what people call "Chav" but the prodigy have ended up changing my whole lifestyle

i wear converse and more urban type clothes such as black camos and crazy looking tops and changed my hairstyle a million times

but this week im taking a picture of liam to the hairdressers and getting his hairstyle cause i think its soo cool lol

and before the prodigy got involved in my life i wanted to be a car machanic but now im at college doing sound engineering and working in a recording studio and hoping to buy a microkorg at the end of the month so that ill have 4 keyboards now (sounds bad but im only 16) and i write my own music

but thats my story of what the prodigy have done for me and my life and there the only band that makes my hair stand on end when i listen to there tracks and if only i could thank them for making me like what i am today
