this one's a harder nut to crack. I'm absolutely losin' my head when I hear Action Radar, loopin' the track constantly. also there are other really massive ones and ofcourse Spitfire is among them, Shoot Down also (tho I can't stand Liam Gallagher in general). what I also like 'bout the album is that it there are some elements that it has in common with The Fat Of The Land, I mean it has this harsher and more violent tone, it's more "punkish". but the bad thing is that there just to many tracks that are a bit.. dunno, don't wanna say medicore, 'cause I enjoy the album from start to finish, but there just some tracks that lower the quality and don't match the level of Spitfire for example. dunno how to really explain it, but the most simple way to say it is - it had potential to be GREAT, but turned out to be just.. good. but a 7 is a just rating. in the proper mood I could give it even an 8.

Spit 10/10
Girls 6,5/10
Memphis 5/10
Get Up Get Off 1/10
Hot Ride 7/10
Wake Up Call 8,5/10
Radar 7/10
Medusa 6,5/10
Phoenix 6/10
Under My Wheels 8,5/10
The Way It Is 1/10
Shoot Down 7,5/10

Very inconsistent album and many will agree. From what I noticed - may be wrong - tracks choice divides fans similar to TDIME, with each fan having his own different set of favourite tracks (or none at all). One track however, is probably loved by most of us here, and I gave it the only 10 so far except for B&E. My average - 6,2/10, kind of expected. I love some of the tracks here but the others not so much, there are some clear fillers for me on that one. Seems like I judged it to be better than Experience, well, fuck me...

It's between an 8 and a 9 for me. Perhaps a couple of years ago, I would have given it a 9. Nowadays I still love the best tunes of this album as much as before, but my rating for the lesser tunes has decreased, so I'm giving it an 8+.

I kind of wish Liam to have tested this live but a part of me is glad he didn't do it. AONO is truly the last original album by Liam. There are quite a few gems on it (Spitfire, Girls, Hotride, Action Radar) and some stinkers (Phoenix, The Way It Is). It's a 9 for me.

A 5. Worst album for me.

8/10: Spitfire. 05 version is much better but yeah what can i say. Cool vocals, nice drums, love the ending tune.

10/10: Girls. Dirty, perfect. Candy to my ears. One of the best 00 songs.

6/10: Memphis Bells. Dear god the vocals and lyrics.. And the tunes are okayish.

6/10: Get Up Get Off. I hate the vocals, seriously..

8/10: Hotride. The riff is cool, so are the vocals.

6/10: Wake Up Call. Again, screw the vocals.

6/10: Action Radar. Started off really good. Vocals are okayish at first. Pisses me off after the Radar Link.

7/10: Medusas Path. Biggest reason i like it is because Liam took a simple sample and made a track out of it.

2/10: Phoenix. I dont know what to even say. I would like it as instrumental and without that awful torture sound at the start of the song and in the breakdown.

8/10: Youll Be Under My Wheels. Alot of people hate this song but i love the tunes. Its a classic to listen to while biking.

3/10: TWIS. I like the dirty tunes of this song. Starts getting a bit better later on.

0/10: Shoot Down. What the hell is this crap. Biggest pile of * ive listened to.

6\10.
It has a couple of tunes that I like, but the bigger part of the album is not in my taste.

this album had to be released as Liam's solo album and it had to be called quite so. 7/10

100% agree, I gave this a 7 also. I mentioned years ago about how i feel about this album is that 'understand' it. Thats the best compliment i can give it. The proof of the pudding is that Liam probably remixed more tracks off this album since Experience which leads me to believe he was never totally happy with it. And the ones he remixed were much better than the originals.

More Girls. Best remix Liam has ever done.
Spitfire 05. Those extra drums make a hell of a difference.
Get up Get off (Alternate version). Miles better than the original.

I really cannot say for this album that its the weakest the prodigy album, its diffirent than anything Liam done. It was most anticipated album so most fans were dissapointed but Im not. First time I heard girls it was on some Finnish radio station, sounded so fresh, and it sounds sexy and fresh now. Its a shame Liam didnt experimented with that aono sound more. Spitfire I wish they play that one live nowadays. Hotride sexiness of Julliete Lewis voice. Hope that they collaborate sometimes in the future again. She is ideal for the prodigy, so much energy in her voice. Wake up call is a great track, the prodigy all over it. Imagine Kool Keith on this one. Liam had inspiration back then. Only track I didnt like was phoenix and Im not very fond of medusas path too. Prefer the way it is live version, spitfire 05 edit over the album ones.

6/10

I agree. Liam's solo but there is something sexy in this experiment.
