“We want to include tracks that hardly anyone has heard,” said Paul. “I got some of those tracks out the other day and thought ‘God, this is great!’ We did a lot of it with friends back in Sevenoaks, where we started. It’ll be great to get it out there again. The digital release of Thirtysomething is going to be massive, much longer than a normal album.”

Orbital made most other contemporaries look daft in the early days of dance music. You couldn’t even begin to figure out where they were coming from. It totally belonged to them at that time and indeed carried on being so.

I Don’t Rate You, for me, was inspired by early rave, The Prodigy and Orbital, LFO. That’s the vibe I got when Andrew sent the music through. We both use the benchmark of this kind of music when assessing what’s going to be the best formula for hard hitting tunes. You can’t mess with it. And now we have a remix by one of these hard hitters. It’s proper.

I like the Dusky remix. The Shanti Celeste remix isn't to my taste. Too House/Club for me.

The techno mix sounds like Born Slippy meets Belfast. I actually prefer the ambient mix.

Recent live version released as an studio version (with some changes). Obvious thing but in a positive way Liam should do the same.

Unusually, I prefer the Edit version. Putting the "If you see your Mom..." sample in the middle of the track makes the track 'fresher' for me. I like the scratching of the original release version which isn't on any of the subsequent versions. I'm hoping the 'Satan (Rhyme & Reason Vocal Mix)' is on '30 Something' or the reissues coming later.

'Morcheeba - Namaste (Orbital Remix)' is now available on the streaming sites. Orbital have been quite active with the remixes over the last couple of years. I guess some of the remixes (e.g. Joris Voorn and Plaid) will be returning the favour for remixes those artists might have done for '30 Something'.
