Post subject:  The End of Daft Punk

As the topic says, after 28 years on the scene, Daft Punk is splitting up.

Thomas, Guy-Man, Thank You
Thank you for making your mark on not only electronic, but on the whole music industry in general, for the birth of french house, for resurrecting disco, which never was dead at all as it lived in house music.
And finally.. Thank you for the fact, that it was your "One More Time" which ignited that one spark once for all and turned my life into the world of music, collecting CD's, and making my own amatour stuff, something, that I can't imagine living without.
YOU HAVE REALLY BRING OUR LIVES BACK TO MUSIC <3
THANK YOU!

I like quite a few Daft Punk tracks but I wouldn't say they had a big musical impact on me. I probably like 2 or 3 tracks off each album.

"Musique", "Da Funk", "Robot Rock", "Doin' it Right", "End of Line", "Derezzed", their "Mothership Reconnection" remix. If I did myself a Daft Punk playlist it would probably only be around 12 tracks.

Pretty bummed about this tbh. Granted, they haven’t made a decent album for 20 years but then neither have The Prodigy.

Nobody can deny the sheer class that surrounds Discovery. It is a complete *chefs kiss* of an album. A true concept that is complete and even the “filler” tracks hold true. Give it another listen, it is truly fantastic.

Homework is also fantastic albeit with a few missteps here and there.

The other two were dogshit.
