Thanx for it!

Alternative ending and some other alternative scene definitely not working, specially Fifield one which looks like cheap sci-fi b-movie stuff.

Also, i see they changed UK dvd, bluray, and 3d bluray covers. They looks much better now without this big blue "B" logos and stuff. (Picture covers on my big post above are automaticly changed because pictures are reuploaded on same links)

Yeah but in the Fifield one you can see him sitting in a similar position as the creature in the head room ceiling mural. That is cool and makes you understand that the ngineers experimented with the goo and everytime you get exposed to the goo you get the same result more or less. It seems that everytime the end result is creating a xeno type being and they went with different methods.

Well, extended and unrated version will be good, like Aliens special edition. But not directors cut with new alternative scenes which are NOT canon story (like Alien 3 assembly cut with different ending and stupid ox idea and more... and alien DC with this stupid cocoon scene), i hate when they doing that.

With Alien 3 The Assembly Cut is the better version. It's much closer to the original David Fincher director's cut. The bastardized Theatrical Cut was done by Fox studio without Fincher's involvement. In the case of Alien the Theatrical Cut is indeed the better version and the real Director's Cut like Ridley has said himself. The so-called "Director's Cut" is only really an inferior alternate version with poorer pacing. And yes, Aliens Special Edition is the better Aliens.

No it's not! Story is not canon, and I think it's BULLSHIT. In theatrical version studio cut many scenes because they are not working and they are shit. Who fuckin cares what Finsher think and what is his vision, he was just director (a really good one), but not screenwriter or main producer or studio/franshize owner.

Assembly cut is not even a directors cut, but just bunch of alternative and deleted scenes mixed together into stupid alternative version of the film.

David Finsher had his chance to make his cut for 2003 DVD Quadrology release, but he was asshole and refuse it. (while Scott, Cameron and Jeunet did it)

Um... The Assembly Cut is not canon based on what? It's much closer to the actual Director's Cut than the studio raped Theatrical Cut. It's a reconstruction of David Fincher's cut. And movies are all about the director. Studio doesn't make a movie, it's the director and Fincher is one the best in the world.

David Fincher wasn't an asshole in refusing to work with Fox again on Alien 3. The studio fucked Fincher in the ass big time when they went and made the Theatrical Cut. Fincher was hugely embarrassed when the Fox's version of Alien 3 was released with his name on it.

But luckily for us we have the Assembly Cut which is a reconstruct of David Fincher's cut and thus the most complete version of Alien 3 available. And it's a lot better than Fox's mediocre Theatrical Cut.

No, it's not canon based. As i said, it's bunch of recorded alternative ideas mixed in diffeerent version of the movie. Because Finsher refuse to make director's cut, studio just mix all different and unseen stuff they have and that's it.

(For exaple, originally studio want ending without queen chesbursting, but Finsher insist it, so they accept it and reshoot the scene again few months after original filming is over. So chestbursting scene would be for sure in Finsher's directors cut. But in assembly cut, studio put scene without chestbursting just because they have it and just because they add all different scenes they have into mix)

Maybe AC is closer to Finsher's vision, but man, director is just directing, and nothing else. Sometimes he can add some of his ideas, but only sometimes. In case of all alien films, David Giller, Walter Hill and ppl from FOX are in charge of everything. Finsher was just 28 year old kid who working on his first film, so no way that Fox let him full control of the project. He had his ideas but it dopends on the studio and production company if they will accept some of them or not.

Maybe you personally like Assembley cut and Finsher ideas more, but studio ppl don't. And I think they are right.

Prometheus Blu-ray Alternate & Deleted Scenes Images

I like the cgi version of Fifield. Of course, I like the traditional method of visual effects and makeup which gives realistic look, but mutated / transformed Fifield looks better as a cgi model.

COOL! It means that Vickers really could be controled memory advanced type of android like Rachel; or superior type "Alpha" model like Farve.

(Forget about deleted scene which presents her in more human form, and thats probably the reaseon why it is deleted. And scene is not canon of course.)
