fter the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

After the brand was taken over by Disney this is the first thing that arouses my interest about Star Wars universe again. I'm a fan since early 90's - Old Trilogy, Books (Expanded Universe), Comics (Expanded Universe), Games (Lucast Arts), Animated Series (Tartakovsky) etc. Of course, there were many weak things in Expander Universe. Anyway, when I saw 'The Force Awakens' I was dissapointed, when I saw 'The Last Jedi' I was very, very dissapointed, even embarrassed. Rogue One came out and It was okey, very fan-service thing but okey. Solo spinoff was like meh/ok thing but completely unnecessary (tv-show maybe? dunno). Overall new Star Wars, especially new main episodes are not my pair of shoes - repetetive, without star wars atmosphere, boring character development, feel forced political correctness, childish. I will definitely give up going to the cinema to see The Rise Of Skywalker. However, there is the last hope - The Mandalorian that looks and feels like something for me. More mature, darker, grittier take on Star Wars with some western inspirations. I will take it with a grain of salt of course but 'you had my curiosity now you have my attention'

The Rise Of Skywalker (Trailer) - familiar characters, familiar spaceships, John Williams music but no star wars atmosphere.

The Mandalorian (Trailer) - non familiar characters, non familiar spaceships, no John Williams music but with star wars atmosphere.

So this is the last resort. If this series turns out to be weak and bad I will lose interest in Star Wars completely.

I hope to god it's good, too! The trailer was good, but I've seen so many good trailers to films and series' that turned out to be poor. Let's hope we don't get let down, man.

Best Star Wars live action since Empire!!! Superb...my son was hooked and had only really got into Star Wars because of me.
Plus the missus likes the baby Yoda, which will be a huge hit this year, merch wise.

Gets a 9/10 from me.
