http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2qFA6aY7Wk this seems to be an official remix (according to Billy Bunter), was released on helter Skelter Presents Hardcore 2007

Was told that it's not official in the past, but I never managed to get any confirmation on this from the band. Meeting up with them this Friday, so I'll ask.

Ask them about Mescaline, Dead Ken Beats, and the unreleased collabs...

i dont understand why you think it maybe unofficial ?
the record company over here who put that album out wouldnt relese it if it werent and
there was a problem it would have got pull ed of the shelves wouldnt it ?
i mean helter skelter is a well known brand in the UK and im pretty sure they do everyhting by the book

You would expect that a record company does things by the book, but this is seldom true. A good example is the single One Love. On Full Throttle you can hear a sample from Star Wars which wasn't allowed to be used. On the album Music For The Jilted Generation the sample was reversed to avoid conflicts. Still however you can buy the One Love single with it's illegal use of the Star Wars sample. Just because a record company with a good name release something, doesn't mean it's official or allowed. In this case, I was told that the remix is not made with permission, so that would make it a fan remix basically. But like I already wrote, the band haven't confirmed this or denied it. XL-Recordings is vague about it too. The only way to be sure, is to ask the band as they would probably know how and what.

Known fakes
Prodigy feat. 3D - No Souvenirs (UNKLE Remix)
December 2002, UNKLE released a promotional box set called Do Androids Dream Of Electric Beats which contained three DJ mixed CD's titled Shin, Gi and Tai. No tracklisting was given out with these promotional copies, so people had to figure out the tracklisting by themselves. Some believed that one of the tracks on the Tai disc was the remix which UNKLE did of No Souvenirs by The Prodigy together with Rob "3D" DelNaja of Massive Attack. The track in question was in fact I Can't Comprehend by Skelf feat. Forme. UNKLE did in fact do a remix of No Souvenirs, but this remix never got released, just like No Souvenirs itself never got released.

this track does exist, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FN8UC0WNZHM

The UNKLE Remix does indeed exist, I did not write that it would not exist, just that it was not released ;) My quote above still stands (the remix cannot be found on Do Androids...), except that the UNKLE Remix was leaked from a promotional copy of an UNKLE DJ set some time ago. You can download it from this forum even ;)

If it was released in 2007 then The Prodigy already left XL by then. So maybe this was a remix XL aloud without The Prodigy knowing maybe that's why their being vague.

I watched this video at youtube's the prodigy channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwntZfuyJG0
where Liam reproduces the mash up of "Diesel Power" and "shut your mouth".

I just love the way this tune matches with diesel power.
I hope Liam will release this remix some day.

Many ppl don't know, but this one is officilal. It's was first released as bootleg in 2002, but later released officialy on some compilation. Liam actually like it that much that he ask XL to give permission.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9_Lufyx_U8

"His bootleg of The Prodigy's much over-looked album track 'Climbatize', recorded under his law dodging alter-ego, Christophe D'Abuc became one of the most sought after whites of 2002 and confirmed his position as one of the most talented young producers to come out of the scene in recent years. Such was the enormity of 'Climbatize's' success, that Liam Howlett (of The Prodigy) heard it, loved it, and (luckily) rather than taking Chris to court, he insisted that XL officially license it for a full release. Lovely!"
