Maybe because Liam knew we already know it from the live gigs. He wanted to give us something fresh but not one of the bests of the album i guess. Still i think he is wrong.

Spor remix did sound good live but as most live remixes ive heard is really really disappointing when you get it on a real track.

When leading up, before we had any info, many folks were saying "I hope Rockweiler isn't the first single."
Just a funny observation, who knows why Liam didn't use it.

I was one of them because we had very high expectations.I believed that Rock is a good song but i hoped that Liam had an ace in his hand as the 1st single... but now hearing Nasty...Rock sounds much much better. Afterall we do not know any other track from the album but those 2.

You explained it fine and tottaly i see what you're saying.

Truth is, when i first heard this part in Spor's remix i was very curious about it.
I mean in D&B you can easily use these types of elements in the mix and "safely" get away with it, but it sounded almost impossibe to glue it in a Prodigy tune having in mind, Liam's style, Spor's melodic direction and a description of the original track.
This reversed orchestral part (as it ended up in the mix), sounds a bit weird to me too, but to be honest it doesn't sounds as weird as i expected.

I think the problem is that it sounds pretty "personal" (it seems that it curently doesn't it deliver any serious direct "audio images" to the average listener) and it only works as a distraction in the mix..
In these occasions (when something sounds weird) i'd suggest to trust the pros and let the time to tell if it finally works...


The only sure thing about it is that it is a very daring choise..i respect that.

Maybe its good thing that Nasty isn't very good track. With lower expectations now, album is going to sound better.
