I heard Fire on an old rave compilation and went out and bought experience on the back of that!

that was Charlie's Angels II, wasn't it?

I also heard SMBU for the first time in Charlie's Angels I, but only re-discovered it years later... when a friend of mine showed me the video!

Fire

Saw the MTV premiere of the video actually

...and then shortly after that I saw Out Of Space and was hooked.

For me it was Charly. A mate of mine knew a DJ who had the promo 12" who put it on a compilation tape for him for his car. This was before it was well known so we used to get quite a lot of attention on Southend seafront on Friday night cruises with it playing at top volume.

Wicked times.

Voodoo people in 96/97. On the manga VHS trailers. 8-)
Didn't know it was the prodigy until a few years later when i heard Breathe and backtracked their releases.

Randomly downloaded "Voodoo People (Chemical Brothers Remix)" from Napster.

"Hmm, who are these two bands.."

Very first track I remember was : Firestarter (Instrumental) from the Wipeout 2097 (aka Wipeout XL) game which I was playing in 96.

I remember at the time I was 17, I didn't know what kind of music I really liked, just followed what my mates told me to like because I just really had no idea! But one thing I knew was there was some music from games that I really liked, like the original wipeout game and a few others. I was playing Wipeout 2097 and my favorite track by far was this "firestarter" song. I became addicted to the track and then later saw the video for it then came Breathe and I was hooked.

I went out to the shops one day and found Breathe, Firestarter, Out of Space, and Jilted. Didn't take long before I saw Electronic Punks and thats was it.

exactly, listening to prodigy tunes after some time has passed is always a new experience. this is why i like their music, its so rich and theres alwas something new to hear, even with the old stuff. different equipment also has this effect, i dont just mean the size of the speakers. sorry for offtopic

EVERYBODY IN THE PLACE for me, too.

Saw the video in 1992 in Simone Angels European MTV Dance Show. That´s the day since I´m a big fan of prodigy.

What a funny video and a great track that was and is....
