So, the video is 16:9 after all. I was surpised that the first rip was 4:3.

Ive recorded it onto my sky planner. Will record onto DVD and upload when I get some time unless somebody beats me to it!!

I've also found a HQ TV rip version in which the image is cropped to 16:6

Still waiting for the HQ 16:9 version.
