i think it's something in germany, maybe there's a copyright problerm and they can't release something with the word omen in it,so they changed it.

Maybe, but if you´re right it is absolutely stupid. Imagine one person 50 - 60 years ago released a love-song i.e. with the title "The Love" and want the copyrights for the world "Love".

Think about, it´s a fuckin´ word nobody anymore is allowed to use it anymore in a track ...

We would never have past-songs like ...

She LOVES Me
LOVE Is In The Air
Baby I LOVE your way
I believe in a thing called LOVE
All For LOVE
All Out Of Your LOVE
Your LOVE
One LOVE ... whoops !

To what would you change Omen?

By the way... All you need is Love? That's like... biggest song ever.

Seems like my Agent Orange alterego was a good choice looking at recent Prodigy logos, fonts, merchandise and design.

Omen

Well people have been getting in touch with us saying how remarkably similar The Prodigy's latest single, Omen, sounds like us. Since their legal representation is funded significantly better than ours, I can't make any comment about it right now but I'll just leave you with a couple of entirely random questions to you to mull over during your lunchbreak.

1. Wasn't Stu lucky to get to go in and do some vocal recording with main Prodigy man Liam Howlett last year eh? (Read previous blog post for more info..)

2. We all know Keith Flint's legendary voice ("I'm the firestarter!").. isn't it funny how he doesn't sound anything like he's ever done in any previous recording?

3. Wouldn't it be sad if a massively successful act ran out of ideas and resorted to shamelessly stealing from hard-working up-and-coming bands without crediting them at all? Gosh I hope that never happens to us.

Whilst we're discussing omens, Nelly was telling me the other day how he's been having recurring dreams of death and he keeps waking up with the sweats. As any dream analyst will tell you, a dream of death symbolizes the end of a phase and therefore the beginning of another - a time of change. As we're wrapping up the final parts of the album over the next month, there's definitely a unanimous feeling that it will be a liberating and refreshing feeling to finally get these tracks produced and released so we can move onto writing new material.

Unlike some bands we're oozing to be creative and do new things.

The Prodigy finally release their new single. We had particular interest in seeing what they had to bring out since Stu was asked to go in with a songwriter to help out last year as they were having problems coming up with decent new stuff.

"It was one of the most surreal moments of my life. Liam Howlett's there and he's saying he really wants a tune like Basement Jaxx's, 'Where's Your Head At?' and then I'm asked to lay down some lyrics but with a similar tune.. it ends up sounding like a totally embarrassing rip-off but he seems quite excited about it."

As it turns out, they decided to rip-off Pendulum instead. Really.. what were they thinking with that synth sound?

the band is called SUBSOURCE and this is theyr single they worked so hard to shit

So, they think they will chance the music scene with their new album and are more creative than other bands (Prodigy)? That's a booooold fucking statement to say about Prodigy. The single is just... I don't know. Omen is way cooler. That's all. Pricks.

this really doesn't sound anything like Omen to me...

and Omen has 1000x more balls than this Hellogoodbye, pussy, pop, electro-emo shit. i'm done with that style why thank you. now it's cool for the trendy preppy kids to play keyboards with their emo garbage.

this Subsource is not original whatsoever and that chorus sound eerily similar to another punky emo song out there my friend who loved that shit use to play.

good way to try and ride on the Prodigy's success.

go away Subsource, just go away, you're not so creative and original yourself.

their not saying it's a rip of their single.i just used that as a example of their sound.
they are saying prodigy stole their sound, stole the work, style of singing from one of their guys who aparently worked with liam

but i don't think the style of singing or anything in that song from them reminds of any of the new Prodigy music at all.

i mean Subfellas sound like a kinda rip off of Does It Offend You, Yeah? and Hadouken! so they can't say shit.

who the fuck knows.just read their post, you can make what you want from it.but like the orange majesty said it's prety hard to make the claim you're bigger and better than prodigy.liam howlett is a one man army.

EDIT: also the prodigy as a band,or liam h as a person how ever you want it,already proved what they're made of or capable of a long long time ago.they inovated, created a new genre, achieved so much.it's fuckin stupid for anyone to bash them, artist or media, reviewer or whatever.people seem to forget that.they are living legends already.pendulum and the other fuckers, even these guys need to prove that they can invent music,or prove they can survive after almost 20 years of music making
