Liam has said many times that this kinda shit pisses him of. And he also have said that he goes into the studio to make bad-ass music when he's pissed of.

Is he really saying that "Firestarter" and "Breathe" didn't have an impact besides basically everyone in the world loving it?

Ask around, those are two of the darkest tracks ever made.

breathe kicks ass, if somone asked you for a definition of the prodigy i'd let them hear breathe, it shows the whole band at its best

It is just a bad review... I don't think is the end of the prodigy because someone wrote it. I remember back in days FOTL had also some bad reviews

I'd partially agree on bad lyrics, the rest is shit.

I partly agree on some points. The lyrics are -c'mon fellas- utter nonsense and bound to deeply disturb the even halfway lyrical mind of anyone above class 5. But this ain't new, "Breathe with me, come play my game" wasn't brilliant either and as they stated multiple times, they ain't about big messages or lyrical sparkling, it's about making dump but energypacked tracks.

BUT I also agree, that Liam has musically lost his teeth. It looks like he is trying very hard to do something brilliant again and maybe he tells everyone they're happy as shit about the actual record, but deep inside he just must see the musical difference, also relevance-wise, to stuff like Break And Enter for example. Or take Poison.
Well, you can't blame him. We're living in times, where you ALMOST can't do anything new anymore, most of the stuff you can do with electronic music has been there already. Come on, stuff like Justice getting hailed as all new and blessing... This can only mean there's not much more to invent.
PLUS it's highly unlikely for someone to once do something as revolutionary as MFTJG again. And Liam did, with FOTL. That also was a sound and a way of writing songs that has not been heard before and drew a lot of things from all corners of music together. But do it a third time... That's hard.
So I don't think he failed, but from BGAT on everything was deffo far away from the grace of his early days.

Liam's tired, he's not the youngest anymore, he became a family man, he's rich, it's his right time to put on the fluffly shoesys and lift his feet up towards the fireplace.

I remember this was posted a while back not long after the actual gig.

What an absolute fucking wallaper! I bet the prick sat in a chair for the whole gig sober as a nun.

Fucking fruit-loop.

The reviewer is obviously not a particular fan of their sound but I agree somewhat with parts of all the reviews I've read so far. The new album reaches as high as the some of the best prodigy tracks but at the same same time also reaches new levels of cheese.
I never though I'd hear Keith utter the line 'creepy like dracula' but 'take me to the hospital' is still a fantastic track.
I liked the ideas behind every track of AONO but it missed the build ups and break downs of previous material.
Nearly all the tracks on IMD have the build ups and atmosphere I love about prodigy, but colours and piranha sound like stuff I never thought would pass Liam's quality control and worlds on fire is a bit too derivative of previous material.
Bring on the lost beats

piranha is the ultimate quality tune. for me one of leading tracks on the album. maxim on his best there. im so curious about how it will be arranged live.

i agree about colours. it is overloaded with vocals. first, when i heard only 30second snippet, i thought it will be great tune, with that old videogame riff. so i got a bit dissapointed when ive listened to whole song. huge overdose of keiths 'sweet' vocals almost destroyed the tune. but i still like the second part from breakdown to the end. i think it would be much better with chick's vocals only
