Coincidence I'd say. It's close but it's not Han:
Not modelled on Keith either. Aside from looking nothing like him, I remember reading somewhere that the sculpture was created before even Experience was released. The Pink Floyd cover is probably the closest 'homage'.
Definitely strange how there's absolutely no info about the sculpture or the artist anywhere online though.
However, I did see the actual piece in person in London's 'Forbidden Planet' shop window in 1995 (Long gone now). It was only about the size of a standard CD case (so the image is pretty much actual size) and about an inch in depth. It's surprisingly tiny. If only I'd thought to take a picture of it, eh?
Anyone know where I could get access to a time machine?
I also know there was an unofficial limited edition resin 'kit' you could buy too, but finding one now would be like finding the Holy Grail.
Incidentally, just found this article on a caricature of the famous Les Edwards inner sleeve of JG:

When you say 'some people' you mean you and when you say 'theory' you mean made up story. It's quite clear that this wasn't the case and is a load of bullshit.

Lol... it was a piece of art that someone saw and thought it would look good on the cover. If I remember correctly the artist got arsey about it afterwards as I don't think he got the correct royalty payments he should have done..... I'm 100% sure it was reported in the NME around 96 ish.... you probably won't find anything about the furour on the net as it was pretty much pre-net (well, pre all the big papers getting online properly)
Some of you people on here are right nut jobs!!
