Maybe because 90% of WD is a dnb loop?

Warrior's Dance is breaks. Drum and Bass has to be at least 165 BPM, and that's the slowest it can be.

If those beats are considered D&B then that means half of the prodigys music is then? Frootloop

I would class Warriors Dance as Rave. It has the same sort of breaks drumbeat that a lot of the old rave tracks had. IIRC most rave drumbeats were speeded up hip hop beats.

By the way did you notice the similarity between the drumbeats of Their Law and at the end of WD?

A little similar yes, also similar idea to the end of the beats in firestarter, where the beats seem to fight with each other if you know what I mean.
BTW for those who don't know the beats from Warriors Dance are from Addis Posse - let the warriors dance.

And if I downtune a dnb loop to 140bpm, what do you get? Or uptune a hip-hop loop. It's still dnb, but whatever. That's your opinion.

There is no "D&B"-Loop. It's not defined only by it's rhythmics and / or drumloop, even though it lives a lot by it. Every Breakcore-song would be D&B, if that was so, cos they often use the same loops. So this loop is originally mos prolly a funkloop, then got sampled to death by the post-acid guys and thus became a "jungle- and rave-LOOP". But it does NOT necessarily make a track Jungle or Rave, just because it's IN it.
