check out this new site i found called Chartstats it has every single uk single and album that has charted in the top 100/top 75 since 1952 FOR EVERY SINGLE WEEK, it even has most of the cover art which you can upload to the site. Which means you see each week of say "Charly" and see when it entered, what other songs that were released the same day and check each week to see its chart run, watch it move up, peak and drop out, here is the prodigys page:

Here is when the Prodigys first ever chart appearance when Charly entered at Number 9, (also note other rave act Altern 8 - Infiltrate 202 dropping to number 71) week ending 24/08/1991:
