THE PRODIGY SPONSOR YOUTH FOOTBALL TEAM
EASTLEIGH REDS UNDER-13s TEAM LISTEN TO "WARRIOR'S DANCE" DURING TRAINING.

While the world eagerly awaits the next The Prodigy album, it turns out the band are keeping themselves busy sponsoring a kids football team in Hampshire.

The Eastleigh Reds Under-13s' aqua blue home shirts for the 2012/13 season feature The Prodigy's name and ant logo.

The sponsorship deal was struck when Prodigy man Liam Howlett heard that the team train to the sound of the Essex ravers' track 'Warrior's Dance'.

Team coach Chris Chapman tells NME: "I'm blown away that Liam was up for it. The team were stoked and immediately started asking if The Prodigy could come to see them! It's a good match though because the lads are a bunch of football prodigies!"

It's not the first time music has delved into the world of grassroots footy. The Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown lent support to his local side Chiswick Homefields FC back in 2005, and rapper Snoop Dogg has his own youth American football league.

The Prodigy’s sixth album, provisionally titled 'How to Steal A Jet Fighter', is set for release in 2013.

i think it's a nice thing to do...
imagine being a kid and a band as legendary as The Prodigy is sponsoring YOUR team.
that would be frigging EPIC for any kid to experience.

and that jersey looks way better than most of the new ugly ass shirts that they been adding to their store lately.

put this jersey up, i'll pick one up

It was a Keith Lemon reference, which (in retrospect) would go over 99% of BK members heads... Never mind

Why coded link?

Football team sponsors? They don't know what to do or what? But overall about this news - i don't care. Just a sponsoring, nothing interesting.

Because this news is really nothing interesting and special. I care about their music, not stuff like that.

Create good, fresh, unique music - This is what i expect from The Prodigy.

Unnecessary? Why? Because I did not write about this news something like: awesome!, nice!, i want that jersey! etc.? Allow me to express my opinion. People almost get jizz about this news which is ridiculous for me. It's nice that the band is sponsoring football team - Nice gesture and that's itm ;)

Nobody said you cant have your opinion , but saying something like they dont know what to do alludes to the fact they should only work on the new album in a topic about the band supporting kids playing football and being motivated by their music , it's kinda out of the place imo

Yea! What the fuck are they doing wasting time investing into the future generation? The selfish cunts should get back in the studio.

Bad Prodigy. :teeth:

P.S. This is random and fucking class, the kids dad must have knocked one out the park with his letter, wonder what he said...
