Back in '99, I made a CD trade with Kotta (I learned everything prodigy back then from him- sure you have all seen his now un-updated site), one item I recieved was a CDR of the Dirtchamber Promo. Different than the radio broadcast mix, and different from the released version. I made a promise to never leak it.
I lost the CDR in 2002, and trust me; I would have leaked it. IIRC- and I cant trust my memory looking back 12 years- i was told that aside from kotta, arie and neko hold this promo. 50 of them were made, im guessing someone else on this forum holds one.
Why not release the frickin audio? I dont think the value of the promo is gonna drop much, if at all; if the audio is made widely available.
Someone who owns this, share it with us damnit! We are all fans, and this isnt gonna hurt the 'sales' of The Prodigy.
can someone step up and share this? arie? kotta? neko? or one of the 47 other people holding this disc?

Yeah, and since it's rather quiet around these Prodigy forums... maybe this will get people a little more interested. Can't do much harm to bring some life back by adding/sharing some exclusive material that no-one EXCEPT FANS will care about.
I really hope this material gets to the surface. I would love to hear some new Prodigy material... and a full length piece of material would be AWESOME.
So yes, anyone of those 50's club... please, give the drummer fans some!

all i know is that if i had some exclusive Prodigy material, i wouldn't be a dick and not share it with other fans. i don't care if it depreciates any value or whatever bullshit excuse. i'm sorry, that's not a real fan in my opinion. as a fan, to have something other fans would die to hear and not share it with them because of your own selfish collector/can cash in on it mentality... FUCK THAT NOISE!
don't call yourself a fan...
and get off your high horse
we're all fans here who just wanna hear the music
once status of holding something over someone else and money gets involved, you already degraded the true meaning and value behind it.
And that's the value of being a fan.
If I had the cash to purchase some exclusive item that others have not heard, the idea of holding it from public for my own purposes would never cross my mind. That shit would be shared to all fans alike. Because that's what it is truly about. I rather be the guy that provided the community with something rare and exclusive than the guy who can just say he has it and keep locked away on some shelf for his own selfish pleasure.
but that's just me yo.
i love and respect my fellow Prodge fans.
We're all in this together!

I never even knew there was a third version. I thought it was just radio broadcast version and the regular CD one. Is this promo one really that different to either of those?...

This promo is real one. Liam mad it, XL already release promos, but then they realise that some of artists on it refuse to give license for their songs. Fer example, The Beatles. Then Liam was forced to replace those tracks and make about 20% different version.
The main rason whay Liam never made Volume 2 is, as he said, "real nightmare to get license for all songs".
Some ppl on this forum have it, but as always they keep quiet.

I have an mp3 somewhere of a version of the Dirtchamber Sessions, not sure if its the BBC Radio 1 version, I do know it has a Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band track which wasn't on the final release.
The mp3 is on an old PC so I will have a look this week and see if I can dig it out.

NO. Radio 1 version is beta version. I'm talking about second, full version on promo cds. And I said reasons why 3rd version is made.

Does the promo (25 cd only version) include the Intro Beats also? I'm a bit confused about this one. I have a Radio Rip in medium quality, which does not include it. Anyone got a HQ of the promo version?, and is it okay to share? It's not really commercially available, is it now? Would be nice to have
