Yo Ekko, I heard these guys have a great relationship with their fans, maybe you should check them out?
Happy camping.

Ekko has a point, to a certain extent... Howlett could've always hired somebody to do Prodigy's community management but he likes to have shit in control and pretty much does everything by himself... thats why its taking him so long to finish a decent track, communicate a normal sentence or share any old material.... the fact that he posted that beat on instagram is amazing.
Btw. he uploads 4 seconds of a beat and gets ripped to shreds by fans. Pretty much anything unfinished will get crapped on so dont expect too much. Then again, he really does need to get his off his ass and write something worthy of his fucking name.

I have made a similar comment before in regards to Liam communicating with fans. People complain that they want more bits and pieces and wished that Liam would share demos and unfinished stuff, but when he actually does everyone rips it apart. He literally can't win with fans, he is damned if he does damned if he don't. He shared some short clips of him messing around with beats and people tore it apart. He put up "Who The Fuck Is Eddie Cochran?" and people slammed it. It's no wonder that we don't get anything from the band. There are many artists out there who keep in touch with their fans on a regular basis, share what they're working on, and throw them a bone hear and there with material.
The only thing that I can't really forgive Liam for is the middle finger he gave to the fans when he refused to let people hear "No Souvenirs." He came off rather prick-ish and if it really isn't gonna become an official track or anything, I see no harm in putting it up for people to listen to whether on the official site or their Soundcloud. The fact that they built up the hype on that track with their own biography calling it the next stage in The Prodigy and shows how much they have evolved, then to just pretty much say "fuck you, you ain't gonna hear it" just rubbed me the wrong way. My girl, who is not a huge fan like I am, even thought it was dick-ish to not let fans hear the track since it wasn't gonna actually get an official release. There's really no harm in giving the fans a treat and give the track away. Is it only about the money? Sometimes it comes across that way. Then Liam made some bitchy remark about the Unkle remix, along the lines of "if you wanna hear a shitty version of it, there's the remix out there." It's like, well put your money where your mouth is and give fans the original. Plenty of us spend our hard earned cash on purchasing different versions of the same frigging release and buying tickets to as many of their shows that we can go see... come on, give the fans a gift here and there. Unless Liam has some evil genius plan of releasing a collection of unreleased tracks down the road when they finally retire... but if not... what's the harm?
instead we get expensive photo albums... i'll pay over a $100 for a CD of demos and cut tracks... not a photo book. but that's just me.
Then again if Liam actually let fans hear No Souvenirs, fans would probably shit all over it and tear it apart.

I just wish everyone would stop getting their panties in a twist. We can all talk about Liam's community management techniques until we're blue in the face. We'll get new music when we get new music.
Half the allure of the Prodigy has always been their general couldn't give a fuck attitude. They make music, do shows and do the odd interview. That's the way it's always been, that's the way it will always be.

It feels like The Prodigy just are a Blog-band these days. The only things we have gotten the last couple of years, are pictures of pointless things taken by Liam. When I listen to Experience, Jilted and the B-sides to these, I often wonder what became of that amazing creative man, who did these tracks. It was nice though, when he did a handfuld of remixes after IMDB, but after that.................... nothing.

When the music is not done, what else can they post other than images and stupid videos?

They got a lot of "lost beats", demos, new mixes (updated firestarter, thunder...) and unreleased shit lying. Share or release them. Not all at once, but some here and there...

We wouldnt be here if we didnt get our panties in a twist. Its a Prodigy fan forum, most of the people here are extremely sensitive to Prodigy's output. You cant expect us to have intelligent conversations if the music is...well... not as clever as it used to be.
Before, we used to analyse every track because it had LAYERS so there was something to admire, analyse, learn, etc. Thats not the case anymore. Plus, people have got to understand that the best motivation comes from a "starving" artist and not from somebody who is rolling in cash and champagne.
