Yes, about that SUNLIGHT RIFF - actually that's the most important question left for me right now. I remember when I was listening the album for the first time, I was so sure Beyond The Deathray is sunlight riff, I didn't want to rush it, just waited till the track was naturally playing in order.. But then it was something beautiful, yet absolutely not the one I was looking for... Are there going to be any other interview or something - this question needs to be answered! Where is that track!? Is it maybe coming as a b-side or something?
Fuck, I was playing on repeat that small instagram clip every now and then for good 30 mins in one row sometimes) I am that crazy about this particular thing. It has possesed me. It's beautiful... Liam, please don't make it dissappear in eternity...
Nightmare, do you know anything about it? Or were you just teasing? or what is even worse - you were just kidding?

Listened to all of the album, so in 6 years this is what they actually put out? I'm astounded at just how poor it is, it's a fucking mess, some truly horrendous pieces of music Liam has ever written, what was he thinking? Christ , that Ibiza track, its embarrassing its so bad, the only real highlight (if you can call it that) is the heatwave hurricane break in Rebel Radio, but all that says is he wrote something decent over 7 years ago and its the highlight of a 15 track album.... It's a fucking awful album, they're finished as a band who write brilliant albums, they've become a parody of themselves and the bands they used to hate so much (and the bands we'd take the piss out of)
Thanks for past ones Liam but jack it in bro, you're done, and i can't even begin to fathom how anyone could say any of this tripe would stand anywhere near FOTL, Jilted, Experience or AONO... just different galaxies....

After a bijillion listens. I won't bother giving out of tens here. Just my overall feelings about the tracks and the album.
Invisible sun gets already skipped... Very monotonous. Rok-weiler grows with every listen. I just wish the lyrics were louder, what's up with that? Unfortunately roadblox sounds very flat. There are good aspects, but it looks like it's not unwinding and that is very unlike Liam. TDIME Already a classic in my book. NASTY Standard stuff. Good beats, good riff. Annoyed that it's Omen pt2. Wild frontier is cheesy (in a good way) as fuck. Still I don't think Liam put too much effort there. Could have been better. WoD Phat, period Rebel Radio Decent tune. Again annoyed with the Firestarter snares Ibiza It's there to convey the message. The short length was a wise choice. It's like a pissed off Parklife as JimbQ notted. BTD Very simple but perfect. I like it when tunes are simple but work great. Rhythm Bomb Its place in the album after BTD is perfect. Proper club tune. I like the beats and I love the sample GYFO Boom!!! If I hadn't heard TMTTH I would go nuts with this track. Annoyed again that the beats were just plain copy-pasted on a new track. TMTTH Part 2 would have been great in the IMD era. Killer track though. Destroy No words. Just too good. We deserved this for the wait! Medicine Yep that's the shit for me. This is the best track on TDIME for me. It has the right amount of everything and the beats are just soooooo heavy here. ROTE Ok cover, better than Fuel My Fire, does justice to the original. Good choice for a bonus track.
Overall right now for me it's
MFTJG TFOTL TDIME/Experience IMD AONO

So basically. Firestarter, Funky Shit, Fuel my Fire, Serial Thrilla, Get Up Get Off, Wake Up Call, Action Radar, Shoot Down, etc is better than: Destroy? Rok-Weiler? Roadblox? The Day? Okay.

TDIME 9/10 Perfect opener, brutal drums, loud and in your fucking face.
NASTY 8.5/10 Triple-X Rated. Nuff' said.
REBEL RADIO 9.5/10 WOW! What a great surprise , it's beautiful , shouldve been a single imo.
IBIZA 7/10 This track has grown on me. An angry rant, and a damn good one.
DESTROY 10/10 Another WOW! This track is such an epic tease it makes me want to drive a Ferrari with a full on road rage with police chasing me and news filming from a chopper Lool
WILD FRONTIER 8/10 I actually like this more than before once listening to the full album.
ROK-WEILER 9/10 Another huge monster banger, loving the new bridge and ending and the melody played during Keith's part. Well done.
BEYOND THE DEATH RAY 9/10 WOW! The most beautiful Prodigy track and a real gem and a much needed break from all the noise.
RHYTHM BOMB 8/10 Another grower like Ibiza. It's very nice and I really dig the guitar and the distorted female vocal.
ROADBLOX 10/10 WOOOW! The best produced track on the album, the best Maxim track ever. Just P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I love the lyrics too!
GET YOUR FIGHT ON 7/10 I was looking forward to the beta live version so much but this is a totally new version and it's really good but not as good as the first version.
MEDICINE 9/10 Talk about some FRESH beats! Really digging it and the reggae flow. Awesome.
INVISIBLE SUN 8/10 Woah! Is that the prodigy? Very different and dark. The guitar is spot on and the vocals perfectly suit the spacey/dark flow of the track.
WALL OF DEATH 10/10 Heaviness, violence, darkness. Perfect album closer.
Definitely they're most consistent album to date. They are in great form and should keep the momentum to bring us another great album. I agree with you with some small exceptions. (-2) to Nasty and Rythm Bomb ,(-1) to Roadblox and (+1) for Medicine just for the beats.

Quiggers wrote: A large divergence of opinion here: which is what Liam would want - no middle ground.
Reading comments that some people find certain songs in TDIME 'cringeworthy' - while at the same time lauding IMD. Which is puzzling because IMD was the only album where I experienced anything resembling a 'cringeworthy' feeling. On songs like IMD (the title track) - which came across as Tesco-value Pendulum. I didn't find anything innovative about IMD at all - which isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as the tunes are bangin'. I must admit that with IMD I had to force myself to like a lot of the tunes on that album - the almost cartoon-like nature and feel of the songs (which I guess derive from the experience-derived direction of some songs) don't really do it for me now.
In contrast, the new album sounds like it means business - in terms of productions, the 'feel,' tone and vibe of the tracks are perfect (taking their cue from TFOTL and Jilted - even AONO too). All with the energy of IMD. I said this yesterday - for me, this new album is my current favourite and probably (in a more considered sense) their second best (behind jilted). I can't stress how much I love it - even songs like Nasty (which I have grown to really like now) seem to make more sense in the context of the album - it's a sonic journey with twists and turns that I haven't experienced since Jilted. TFOTL had (as Liam said) killer tracks (Smack, Breathe and Firestarter) but I find the album much more one-dimensional (and less interesting) than TDIME (which I think is a superior collection of album tracks).
And despite what a lot of people say, I absolutely LOVE GYFO. One of my favourites on the album - when that main riff kicks in at the start. Wow! That, Destroy, Rokweiler, Rebel Radio, Roadblox all destroy all before them. Unlike IMD I don't feel I need to force myself to like any of these songs - I love them! Can't stop listening to them - never had that feeling with (maybe the exception of TMTTH) any IMD songs.
This is better than I ever imagined it to be.
This and Jilted are the best for me. Without question. i agree it's so craazy makes me feel like drunk without drinking

Fakin ill wrote: Get Up Get Off, Wake Up Call I think those would fit rather well on TDIME - with a couple of sections shaved off from Wake Up Call, Spitfire 05 style. The alternate version of Get Up Get Off is catchy as fuck but nowhere near as dark.

Remember, you guys are comparing songs from an album that isn't even out yet with tracks you've been listening to over and over and over and over again for decades. This album will sound like a classic in time, if it doesn't for you now.

I have another name for Funky Shit. The Fat Of The Land. Everytime i hear Funky Shit the picture of that crab cover comes up. I put it up there for the lols. I like Funky Shit, promise.
But man, for me, it is as good as Destroy. Both makes me wana move that booty. For me its not miles away. Breathe is.
But the rest of the tracks i listed from the AONO-FOTL era, no. I dislike them, personal taste.
Btw anyone knows if the albums gonna arrive in the mailbox the 30th even if you live in a country ouside UK or do we have to wait for it? I must have my hands on it.
EDIT: Yeah for me it already sounds classic, compared to IMD and AONO. I love this album and cant wait to have it in my home.

JILTED FOTL EXPERIENCE
AONO
IMD
TDIME... I agree with the distance you put between IMD and TDIME. Except you have the order all mixed up. The new album wipes the floor with AONO and IMD. For me, the only album that betters TDIME is Jilted. If either Serial Thrilla or Fuel My Fire were released as new Prodigy singles, people would be falling over themselves laughing. But both of those songs are protected (it would seem) simply because they are part of what many people consider to be one of their best albums in a period when they were the biggest band on the planet. When I remember back to that period, I remember it took me more than a few listens to buy into the direction of that album. Compared to jilted, I found it simplistic and one-dimensional. I grew to love it, of course. It has five great songs (half an album - three of which are iconic). But as an album taken as a whole, I don't rate it above TDIME. There is more depth and diversity to TDIME. The only album that betters TDIME as a journey from start to finish are the nooks and crannies on Jilted. TDIME succeeds where Howlett failed in the past. He tried to be experimental in AONO but his best tunes on that album were the ones where he produced straight-up Prodigy tracks like Spitfire, Wake Up and Girls. In TDIME, Howlett nails everything he takes aim at. He retains the energy of IMD without the cartoon 'feel' of that album.
