after he posted this pic, i wrote on the comments that he should post more clips from studio and yesterday he did, wonder if there's any connection to my comment hahah.

what is interesting, who hasn't noticed, is that he is working on same track/experiment what he did some time ago.. also on instagram clip.

I'm pretty positive this clip and the older one are both from the same longer clip. Same exact synth sound, same blue longsleeve shirt, same white envelope on the last black key of his ARP2600 to the left.

Plus he posted a recent pic of his new studio setup finally being done and the MS-20 is in a completely different place, a whole other side of the room.

I don't believe this clip is new, but just an earlier portion from the previous video that we didn't get to see. Instagram allows you to pick a segment/portion from a video to share. We're seeing the same recording session, just an earlier moment that was cut off.

New studio you say? 2-3 more years until we get an ep of some sorts.

I prefer a new album every 5 years than a mediocre ep every 3.

if they really want it, they could easily release 3-4 track EP three times in two years period. but that's a dream of mine. that would mean more tracks for us.

releasing an EP shouldn't be that hard. every EP can be little different. i can see releasing full album with certain theme and feeling is hard, but not an EP, even with 2 or 3 new tracks + remixes on it.

it's great he's in studio, i just hope they get new tracks out faster, before they feel dated or not fresh anymore... i doubt we'll see anther full album. although it would be weird to see them finish without proper final punch... they don't even have to tour it in my opinion.

I have just looked at my crystal magic ball: he has completed two new EPs and one full album - ultimate fire band album and suddenly he decided that all of that was rubbish so he threw it to the bin :)

I looked at the same magic ball during BGAT and half of album got binned :)

Opinions started to differ since IMD. I think TDIME is mediocre but lots of people love it. So, if you, as a music composer, just stare at blank walls I would assume that an album won't get made or maybe it will in the final 6 months when the pressure to deliver increases and you spit out something like Get your fight on (a rehash of an awesome track such as TMTTH) .

Totally agree with Plain John. I almost forgot about The Day Is My Enemy album.

What next? I dont care if this is an album or ep or something else... I want new tracks but... good tracks. No more forgetable things and mistakes like Get Your Fight On, Rhythm Bomb, Invisible Sun etc.

I quite like Invisible Sun, one of Liam's more risky tracks and quite unique coming from him. I think he succeeded.

Like in most things i start to believe that the older we get the hardest it is for something new to have an impact on us.
I mean nowdays i have 58586868 things on my mind...financial,health,social issues.Like all adults.
Back in the early-mid 90's i slept and woke up with the band and music in general on my mind.Football, movies, music ,girls ect.
You start to care less fo those things and more for your gf,your job, health issues in your family ect.

Even if Liam released something better than mftjg or fotl now i would still love the 90's albums more and i would listen to the new albums 1/1000 of the times i enjoyed the old ones.Of course the new albums are more forgettable.Because we changed too,not only Liam's song quality.

I remember myself eating while listening to poison, hanging out, fucking, playing Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2,flirting,sleeping...Once i masturbated with a porn movie on a video tape(long before dvds).Had mftjg on the cdplayer and i decided to mute the tv.Too many memories.

All of us who were 15-20 yrs old when mftjg got out are very lucky. The right time for Liam's attack.

Do not expect anything new released to feel amazing again. I still insist though that if tdime was released back after fotl it would have been a huge success.

playing FOTL really loud while sitting outside with a beer. Briliant.

TDIME: hmm you can play it loud for sure but it gets a bit tiring after a while.

I think you can notice it if you play Serial thrilla: even tho it's a punk track, it still sounds 'together' and has nice sounds. It's still pleasant for the ear. no overuse of distortion or too much stuff out of key.

give me the beats of TDIME and the feeling and composition of IMD...

or FOTL p 2 :D

TDIME is much more agressive by it's sound, i atleast doen't listen to it just for backround. but it works live where energy is high.
FOTL has more layd back moments and just cool sounds. just two mostly different albums.

I don't expect FOTL2, I got this a long time ago when Liam mentioned that he doesn't want to repeat himself. But here comes 2015 and Liam simply copies himself in the most unpleasant way possible. Whole tracks played around really old beats. Did not comment very much against it back then as I just sat and listened to the album over and over to get a sense of the other tracks and see where he wanted to go. It took some time for me to get where AONO wanted to go and thought maybe it's the same with TDIME - not true at all, AONO is a masterpiece in terms of originality. Liam's creative peak ended in 2004. That is fine, as I said I don't expect a piece of music to make them a global phenomenon as they were back in 1996-97. But Rebel Radio with Firestater beats, GYFO with Take Me to the Hospital beats that actually ended up a single?

Truly original tracks on TDIME are Nasty (minus Keith as vocalist), Invisible Sun (not very high on my list in the album but still, something that seemed that he tried harder), Wall Of Death - these tracks for me, seem that he tried his best to bring something new.

I can always play the shit out of Destroy, Rok-Weiler and Wild Frontier - not original but very enjoyable and they make me turn the volume up.

Rebel Radio is just loud and tiring along with the short Ibiza while Rhythm Bomb is atrocious - always skipping these.

Anyway, I just feel that after only 1 year I would like to hear something from Liam and the guys and it will probably be better than TDIME.

This should not be considered a rant, just my 2 cents regarding this era - I still love their music, as we all do that post our thoughts every now and then, otherwise I would simply not bother commenting on here.
