I bouught Jilted in late 94 and even though I was 15 I was blown away by those tracks. They were and still are revolutionary.

I think the main difference is that none of those tracks had ugly sounds. No overdrive to the max, loud distortion or synths that were completely detuned. Cool samples, cool beats, space to breathe but still tough when played loud.

But regardless, more important, is stand out tunes that you remember. IMD still had that. Even Aono with 3 great singles.

Ah dont get me wrong i love Jilted.

Its just like every new single that gets released now gets some true hate from a few people.

I remember when people actually hated on Girls in another Prodigy community.

Their Law is one of the best songs, maybe its not a good example.

Jilteds one of my first albums ever. Got it as a kid. I played 3 Kilos nonstop.

Need some1 feels like some shorter Break and enter and i like how they released a song with almost no vocals and just violence.

Yeah maybe for me it would be more nice if the music got amped up and the violence got toned down a bit. Their law is voilent enough, melodic and still kicks.

but is it me or is the press coverage very low? nasty was reported in the newspapers in holland, now i see nothing

I can't say the same for the latest works

I'm not saying that they are bad, because they are still solid, but certainly not groundbreaking

But we only want groundbreaking stuff from Liam because he is capable of that!

I remember posting some very negative stuff about the last Prodigy releases.
(I don't think any of the albums from 2004 onward have been any good, despite the occasionally good track.
And i felt that Liam's comments about the "state of dance music" felt arrogant and out of touch.
New single feels like a b-side.)



But i didn't get any negative, combative comments.

I listened to Jilted again and it felt more fresh than even Fat.

I wish Needsome1 could have been longer. The ending tune is very great so its quite sad it ended like that, i would have liked a distorted black smoke kind of tune as an ending instead and put that in the synth area of the track.

But yeah i still like need some 1. Opinions havent changed.

I like this Evil Rave thing Howlett has been touting, but I don't feel it in Need Some1. So I'm wondering how this could be the lead single from an Evil Rave album... very curious to hear more.
