Soft Play are a punk band. They weren't really my taste but I do really like their "Punk's Dead" track (which is based on the reactions of some of their fans to the band changing their name from Slaves to Soft Play).

DJ Jack Saunders set was good but it only lasted around half an hour long.

People complaining that The Prodigy only played for an hour (it's actually about 1 hour 20 minutes including the few minutes off stage before the encore). The Prodigy have never, ever played a 2 hour set. The longest I can remember is 1 hour 30 minutes, maybe 1 hour 40 minutes at the maximum. It would be good if they played for longer but they never have.

It’s too exhaustive to play 2 hours set, I mean for a crowd . It was always Ok for me about 1h20 set. In festivals it sometimes shorter

Seems the set times gets shorter the more tracks they release.

This tour is the shortest yet.

1hr 45 - 2hrs should be what they're playing now, especially as the price of the tickets increases every tour.

If they didn't play two hour sets before they're not going to start now at their age!!!

I don't think this tour is the shortest set. 1 hour 20 minutes is about their average set length and has been for a long time. Like I said, they've never played anywhere close to a 2 hour set so they aren't going to start at this stage of their career. As others have said, a Prodigy gig is a physical workout for most in attendance.

All live music shows by established artists are expensive now (not helped by COVID19, BREXIT, Energy and Fuel Prices, Inflation, Venues charging artists fees for providing a space to sell merchandise, etc). Considering the popularity of The Prodigy we could consider ourselves lucky we aren't charged a lot more. At least there is a show element to The Prodigy (lights, lasers, speakers, etc). Some artists charge more and it's just them sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar under a spotlight.

In an ideal world sets would be 2 hours and the tickets would be cheap. It's not an ideal world.

To be fair he had some good points in there. I do think pushing Firestarter tribute after the encore might be better. They fired a lot of good guns right at the start of the gig. Also we have two atmospheric tunes right at the first half of the gig.

It goes:

Climbatize
Everybody in the place
Omen Reprise
Firestarter

Might want to spread that out a little more. Also after the encore there aren't any really big songs that general crowd is looking for other than IMD. I mean TMTH, We Live 4 Ever, Diesel Power are beasts but might want to move in there a really massive hit like Voodoo, or No Good. Also can't hurt if they would just get a kick out of it and just played Out Of Space in full, It's a fantastic goodbye see ya later song that just comes to short.

Also noticed that they dropped Wild Frontier from the setlist right when the tour started, second or third date. I always loved Wild Frontier and loved it to see it live again.

I know I will have a fantastic time with my mates at Ally Pally this weekend but like most of people here... It would't hurt to just shuffle a song or two every gig.

Play Wheather expierience instead of Get Your Fight On
Play The Day Is My Enemy istead of Roadblox
Play Spitfire instead of Need some1
Play Mindfields instead of whatever...

And the list goes on and on and on, they have so many tunes to choose from, especially tunes that worked really well live in the past.

Also I just hate Breathe as an opener. The Intro is amazing but the momentum just slows down while they take their time to start playing Breathe when they walk on stage. World's on Fire was a great opener, even Voodoo people was better in 2012, Omen for that matter would work better IMO.

Concerning the tracks that need to be substituted, even though I like those that you listed, I only agree by replacing Get Your Fight On. The rest is ok, even because, as Liam always said, they are not a revival band, so they feel more motivated by playing newer and fresher tracks despite of the old ones.

Even if as an atmosphere track, Omen Reprise is used rather as intro to Firestarter, so it is even ok, in my opinion, to leave it as it is.

Personally, I would willingly replace Get Your Fight On with Spitfire. I just can't stand GYFO anymore. Personally, I find it boring.
The rest sounds good.

I wouldn't mind GYFO if it were the original version they played. I'm gutted it became the track it did. The original was really promising. The final version is so lazy, exact same beats they ripped from TMTTH

Never heard of this and I have to say this is pretty awful

They have become a tribute band of themselves.

Why don't they play, at least, 5 old tracks that are never played for some reason? namely Narayan, One Man Army, Claustrophobic, Pandemonium, something from the WEL ep...at least it would be surprising and it will definitely delight their old fanbase.

The tracks from TDIME and IMD are really pointless now
