too much people think the most important problem with gas is price, too many forget about the environment

everybody wants his own car, now it jams autoroutes with large 5-seat vehicles only occupied by the drivers, from everyday A-to-B

so we get ruining the environment

the environment issue could be solved by limited government regulation....the technology is out there to burn cleaner and more efficiently but......the oil companies make sooooooooooooooo much money that they will never let that happen...oil money is huge influence on the government and so everyone pays the price

there is no reason for gas to be so expensive other than the fact that the oil companies want more money...there is no shortage of oil right now...prices are artificially inflated

in iraq alone...and before anyone says anything the u.s. does not get any of the oil produced in iraq....has more oil below the surface than saudia arabia....the arctic wildlife reserve in alaska has more oil than the middle east does and we could be completely independent just from that alone...and dont talk about evironmental impact....look at the north slope and the alsaska pipeline...a model for an environmental success story

the u.s. sells most of its oil to japan because they pay a higher price for it and then oil is imported from opec and other places and we pay a higher price than if u.s. oil was sold to u.s customers
