i couldn't hear the sounds i hear now in the prodigy music, its like my senses have raised and i can here alot more complex sounds in their music now.

exactly, listening to prodigy tunes after some time has passed is always a new experience. this is why i like their music, its so rich and theres alwas something new to hear, even with the old stuff. different equipment also has this effect, i dont just mean the size of the speakers. sorry for offtopic

this is that I tell alot of people too, but they don't get what I mean, I know exactly what ya saying. Then you listen to something else and ya start ripping it apart in ya head and it makes you realise how clever some of Liams tracks really are. And how bland some house music or whatever, rock music even, ok, any music! how bland and lacking in substance some music can be.

I remember hearing charly for the 1st time and loving it along with Everbody In the Place, but it was Jericho that did it, I heard it on pirate radio and it made me sit up and take notice. I couldn't wait to hear the artist who it was made by and when i realised it was The Prodigy, I was hooked.

everybody in the place, my best mates much older sister was huge fan and let me borrow experience, i was 11 at the time, 1992, instantly fell in love with it then the obsession grew from there, proud to say i have followed them since day 1..... no band has come close to wot a feel about the music they create.... remember all the indie crew at school actually getting into them because i used to argue with them about albums. bands etc at the time... and them coming back and saying "fuck me thats powerful", especially with jilted...

good times

Firestarter and Voodoo People, after listening to them one day on my friends walkman..

I knew of Prodigy before that, tracks like Out Of Space, No Good and Poison but never listened to them carefully.. Interesting thing is that, at the time ('96), Firestarter video was aired on local TV stations but when I saw it I would just switch the channel.. Didn't think it was bad, in fact I didn't think anything, guess I was indifferent to it (I'm of course speaking about the days before I got hooked). So it was the sound of Firestarter that did it for me.. back then, The Prodigy really opened my mind, musically speaking..

I heard Everybody's in the Place on the BBC 'Top of the Pops' tv show in the UK!

Then a bit later at some point i bought my first ever Compact Disc lol. It was a double cd compilation called 'Rave Generation' it also had Charly (Alleycat mix) on one of the discs.

They were my two favourite tracks on the whole album, nuff said 8-)
